How we got here..
What started out in 2017 as a fixer upper starter home on 2 acres, 25 chickens and a first attempt at a garden while having our first baby girl, has grown into another (slightly bigger) fixer upper home on 2 acres, 150 chickens and three more daughters. If we have learned anything along the way it's that prioritizing home has been a catalyst to creating the life we love. How can I get some fresh eggs?

What breed of chickens do you have and how many are there?
All of our chickens are road island reds! We have approximately 140. This breed has a reputation of better tolerating the hot weather of Arizona summers.
Do you offer egg delivery?
We are not delivering eggs at this time. Pick up will take place on our property. Details will be given to you when you become a member. We are going to be arranging a neighborhood pick up spot for close by neighbors! If you attend church with us, get in touch and we can arrange for drop off with you on Sundays.
What do you feed the chickens?
We have been able to source an organic feed with no GMOs that is the main source of food. The chickens also free range around the large pen scratching for bugs and grit during all daylight hours and get all of our family organic food scraps to supplement their feed.
What are your coop and pen area plans?
We currently are preparing the coop and chicken pen for the heat of summer. We will be planting moringa trees, Ficus shrubs, grape vines (above the pen for shade), Bermuda grass and laying down some wood chips. We also are excited about adding some sort of water feature for the chickens to drink and use to cool off from the heat.
